Legal basis
We process personal data on the basis of your consent (newsletter, resource downloads), legitimate interests (responding to enquiries, improving our services and site) and contract (delivering engagements you have commissioned).
How we use it
To deliver the resource, report or meeting you requested; to respond to enquiries; to send The Operations Briefing newsletter where you have opted in; and to improve our content and services. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Retention
Enquiry and assessment data is retained for up to 24 months from last contact unless you become a client, in which case retention follows our engagement terms and statutory accounting requirements. Newsletter data is retained until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these, email hello@markinly.co.uk — we respond within one month. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
